Festival of Light invites volunteers to Shannon Springs Park to participate in preparations for our 2009 Season!

We are in need of the help of the community for installation of the lighting in the park. We have set Friday, November 6th and Friday, November 13 as "Donate A Worker" days and ask the community businesses to assist us by offering a few of their employees as volunteers for the day. "Donate a Worker" days are an opportunity for local businesses to contribute to FOL by donated their employees to work at FOL instead of their office but they pay them their normal salary. We will begin at 8:00am and end at 4:30pm with lunch provided by Domino's Pizza on the 6th and A & E Grill on the 13th.

We also need volunteers every Saturday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and with lunch provided on Saturday, November 7th by Eduardo's. Come a few hours or stay all day but we would really appreciate the help to get ready for opening night November 24, 2009 at 6:00pm.

You can stay all day or just an hour. Any and all help is appreciated! We look forward to seeing you!

Festival is also in need of volunteers to be Gift Shop Managers and cashiers. For cashiers there are two shifts a day/night (5:45pm-8:30pm & 8:30pm-11:00pm from Opening Night, November 24 to Closing Night, December 31) to choose from. Cashiers are only responsible for one shift unless otherwise specified. Managers choose one day a week through the entire season (Opening Night, November 24 to Closing Night, December 31). Each manager would be responsible for the same day each week. Ex: Sally will manage every Tuesday until closing Festival (a total of 6 Tuesdays) from 5:45pm to 11:00pm. Management responsibilities can be shared with a team.
