November 7, 2009 was the date for the 2nd annual Festival of Light Christmas Queen Pageant and there was a full night of fun family entertainment. The pageant was held at the Chickasha High School Activity Center.

The following contestants are listed in their appropriate age divisions. Candidates for the Snowflake Prince and Princess (0-2yrs) - Wyatt Henderson, Daxton Walsh, Alice Anne Park, Atreya Glover, Destiny Alexander, Sorella Trammell, Emma Kate McClure, Layla Ferrell, Grace Martin, Allyssa Selzer, Callie Crawford, Sabrina Alexander, Addison Schmidt, Savannah Kirtley, Elyce Thompson, Mikayla Noelani Bogle, and Mariah Bliss.

Jr. Queen and Jr. King candidates (age 3-7 yrs) are: Cooper Park, Eliana Mado, Selena Alexander, Allison Stewart, Alli Bordwine, Brieanna Vasquez, Hanna Kennedy, Cortney Evans, Alexis McElroy.

Candidates for the Christmas Princess (8-12years) are: Carleigh Huddleston Elliott, Albani Kimbrough, Madelyn Sales, Ryleigh Clem, Rebekah Willoughby, Melanie Sales, Ashley Landrum, and Ana Leslie Sanchez.

Candidates for the Christmas Queen (17-21yrs) are: Heather Bumpus, Adrian Talley, Heather Hanson, Nikissiah Widener, Alana Duffle, and Erin Beaver.

The pageant was be co-hosted by Our Diamond Miss Pageants, an Oklahoma-based organization that has held their Nationals event in Chickasha for the past several years. Judges were brought in from out of town and contestants were judged on interview, appearance, poise, talent, personality, and community awareness according to their age and understanding.

Prizes included trophies, winner’s sashes, gifts, riding in the parade, performing at FOL opening night, and a $3500 scholarship to USAO for the Christmas Queen and a $2000 USAO scholarship to the Queen runner-up.
